Picturesque Cambridge

Picturesque Cambridge

Our Friday day-trip series continues its quest to find the most charming corners of England with a lovely jaunt on November 11th out to the city of Cambridge and charming market town of Saffron Walden!

Cambridge is one of the most beautiful places in England. Luscious lawns, amazing architecture, sophisticated shops and punting on the willow-tree shrouded River Cam. Be sure to have lunch at the Eagle Pub – a haunt of the American airmen based there during World War 2, many of whose signatures still adorn the ceiling!

En route, we’ll pass by the picturesque medieval town of Saffron Walden. It is a small country market town with early origins, the name Walden meaning “valley of Britons”. Come take in the beautiful thatched cottages & unending charm!

This day trip runs on Friday, 11th November and departs Faraday House at 9am. To sign up, bring your refundable £10 deposit to SR 109, the Student Life office, ASAP!
